'Fifty Shades Darker' received a R-18 rating from the

MANILA -- "Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to the racy bondage flick "Fifty Shades of Grey," will be released in cinemas nationwide uncensored, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) announced Wednesday. 

According to the regulatory body, the original version will be screened locally "without cuts, blurs and blacked-out parts." 

The MTRCB, however, slapped the movie with a R-18 rating, meaning that minors will not be allowed to see it. 

In its announcement, the MTRCB warned moviegoers that "Fifty Shades Darker" contains "prolonged and realistic depiction of sexual activity and aberrational sexual behavior, scenes involving bondage and dominance, sadism and masochism, nudity (breast, butt and public hair exposures) and, strong and/or sexual language."

James, "Fifty Shades Darker" continues the erotic tale between billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and college student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) that began with 2015's "Fifty Shades of Grey," which earned more than $560 million globally during its theatrical run. 

Also part of the cast are Marcia Gay Harden, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Kim Basinger, Hugh Dancy, Bella Heathcote and Eric Johnson.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is directed by James Foley ("Fear," "House of Cards"). It will be released in local cinemas on February 8.
