Raees vs Kaabil box-office collection Week 1: SRK crosses Rs 100cr mark, Hrithik not yet
Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Raees has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark at the box office. Kaabil, starring Hrithik Roshan is still trailing.
The first film to win the box-office race...is Raees. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer gangster drama crossed the Rs 100-crore mark on January 30 while Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam's film Kaabil is still behind.
To be fair, Raees released in more screens than Kaabil, all across the country. The number of screens were divided on a 60-40 basis between Raees and Kaabil respectively.
As such, Kaabil will indeed take a some time to catch up with Raees. Kaabil producer Rakesh Roshan earlier expressed his disappointment about the partial treatment from exhibitors.
However, Kaabil is releasing in Pakistan a week before Raees is gracing the screens in that country.
Here is the day-to-day breakdown of Raees box-office collection:

Raees, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is director Rahul Dholakia's reimagining of '80s Gujarat where a bootlegger, played by SRK, wants to expand his criminal empire against all odds. The only thorn in his path is an honest cop Majmudar, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
While the performances of Shah Rukh and Nawaz have been praised, Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has failed to charm the audiences and critics alike.
Meanwhile, Kaabil, the underdog in the competition, stars Hrithik Roshan as a blind man who goes out to avenge his wife who gets raped by political goons.
Kaabil is Shootout at Wadala, Musafir and Kaante director Sanjay Gupta's first collaboration with Hrithik Roshan.
